Kazakh Students Lead Eco-Campaign Against Plastic Waste
Kozybayev University students recently participated in the "Tasa Kazakhstan" environmental campaign, a significant initiative tackling plastic waste and promoting sustainability. The event, held on the university grounds, brought together students and faculty from various departments in a day of cleaning and tree planting. One student, Sofiya Sigunova, shared, "The Youth Resource Center invited us to participate in "Tasa Kazakhstan." We're collecting trash and bottles because I believe a clean environment is key to our success." Asel Bektemirova, a PhD from the Geography and Ecology department, added, "From May 31st, we have the "Save the Planet Together" campaign. Each faculty collects plastic bottles, and today we're summing up the results." The campaign also included an environmental quiz, with the Ecology and Geography department emerging as the winners. The enthusiastic participation and positive impact of the event demonstrate the power of collaborative efforts in environmental protection.
