Eco-Run Cleans Up Meshchansky Forest: "Paramedics" Team Takes First Place A significant ecological event unfolded in Meshchansky forest, Kazakhstan, on June 5th, 2025, as students, volunteers, and ecologists joined forces for an environmental cleanup race. The event, part of a larger initiative to promote environmental awareness, saw the participation of nearly 80 individuals. "We came here for the ecological action, to clean up and tidy the forest so there's no trash," said Sofya Stroganova, a student from the Higher North Kazakhstan Professional Pedagogical College, expressing the common sentiment among participants. The competition was fierce, with the "Atameken" team securing second place with 134 kg of collected waste. In total, the combined efforts of all participants resulted in the removal of over 600 kg of waste from the forest. The positive impact of these collective efforts is a testament to the power of community engagement in preserving natural spaces.
