Kazakh Youth Rally for Environmental Awareness in City-Wide Eco-Quiz

Petropavlovsk Hosts Eco-Quiz to Celebrate World Environment Day Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan – On June 5th, 2025, the central city square buzzed with activity as students and schoolchildren participated in an engaging environmental quiz. The event, "Nature in Trend," was organized by the city's youth resource center to commemorate World Environment Day. Participants were divided into five teams and tasked with creating catchy slogans and performing themed songs, culminating in a competitive quiz. "The goal was to make the residents of Petropavlovsk and the North Kazakhstan region more aware of ecological issues and encourage responsible environmental behavior," explained Damir Abdin, head of the youth resource center. Aigoz Nurgali, a student from Kozybayev University, added, "We prepared extensively for this contest, and we hope for good results. It's a beneficial experience, helping us cultivate a stronger environmental culture." The event concluded with awards for the top three teams, with all participants receiving diplomas. The success of "Nature in Trend" demonstrates the potential of youth-led initiatives in raising environmental awareness within the community.
