Land Rights and Bureaucracy Hinder North Kazakhstan's Farmers
Land Issues Hamper North Kazakhstan's Rural Economy. North Kazakhstan region faces challenges in its rural areas due to land allocation problems. Ruslan Asauabayev, a deputy of the Kyzylzhar district maslikhat, highlights the difficulties faced by local residents in accessing and using land for livestock grazing and fodder production. He notes that "procedural moments regarding land transfer are poorly established," leading to significant issues for those relying on personal subsidiary plots (LPH). Asauabayev emphasizes the crucial role of LPH in the agricultural sector, stating that "without LPH, the sector will not survive." He points to bureaucratic inefficiencies as a major obstacle. The situation underscores the need for improved land management practices to support rural communities and ensure the sustainability of the agricultural sector in the region.
