
Kazakhstan Crowns National Asyk Throwing Champions
Petropavlovsk Hosts Thrilling National Asyk Throwing Championship Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan – The National Championship of Asyk throwing concluded recently in Petropavlovsk, marking the 11th year of this exciting traditional Kazakhstani sport. The competition attracted top players from 19 regions across Kazakhstan, showcasing impressive skill and intense competition. The event spanned several days, culminating in a final round that determined the national champions. Winners were awarded the prestigious title of Honored Master of Sports in Kazakhstan and earned a spot on the national team, preparing them for international competitions. Akzhan Suraganov, President of the SKO Asyk Throwing Federation, commented, "Our girls played exceptionally well." He highlighted the strong performance of local athletes, noting their impressive skills and dedication. The results saw Shymkent take first place in the men's competition, followed by Akmola and Pavlodar. In the women's competition, the North Kazakhstan region's team secured second place overall. This year's championship was a resounding success, celebrating both the skill of the athletes and the enduring tradition of Asyk throwing in Kazakhstan.
