Ryanair Prime: Is Ryanair's New Subscription a Waste of Money?
Ryanair's New Prime Subscription: Is it Worth the Hype? Ryanair recently launched its Prime subscription service, promising various benefits to travelers. However, a recent video review by travel blogger Muscab has cast doubt on the value proposition. Muscab highlights several key issues, including the limited availability of free reserved seats. "The free seats are only on certain routes that Ryanair chooses," he explains, "and if those are taken, you're stuck with random seat selection." This significantly diminishes the advertised benefit. Furthermore, the travel insurance included is far from comprehensive. It only applies to Ryanair flights and excludes certain demographics, such as those over 70 and some European citizens. Muscab also questions the "exclusive sales," suggesting they are simply recycled offers previously emailed to customers. "Honestly, this subscription is awful," Muscab concludes. Consumer advice centers in the UK concur, advising potential subscribers to think twice before signing up. This raises concerns about the transparency and value of Ryanair's Prime offering, prompting a call for greater clarity and consumer protection.
