The case remained unsolved for years, until 2023, when investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) obtained crucial information. "We received information that four individuals were involved", stated an MVD spokesperson in a recent video statement. Three of the suspects were arrested in March 2024, and in May 2025, they were convicted for the murder and a previous robbery committed in 2001. One suspect remains at large. The successful resolution of this long-standing cold case highlights the dedication of Belarusian law enforcement.
