Belarusian MVD Enhances Summer Safety Measures with Tech and Patrols
With the onset of summer, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) has stepped up its efforts to ensure public safety, particularly in recreational areas near bodies of water. This proactive approach includes increased police patrols, both on foot and using all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), to maintain order and respond quickly to incidents. "With the increase in people visiting parks, squares, and bodies of water due to the pleasant weather, we've implemented a range of preventive measures," explains an MVD spokesperson in a recent video message. In addition to traditional patrols, the MVD is employing modern technology, including video surveillance systems and drones, to monitor these areas and deter criminal activity. The video shows officers patrolling beaches and parks, and highlights the use of drones in hard-to-reach locations. The MVD is also emphasizing responsible behavior among citizens, particularly warning against alcohol consumption in public places and urging parents to keep a close watch on their children. "Parents, please supervise your children and constantly remind them of the rules of conduct, especially near water bodies," the spokesperson stressed. This comprehensive approach combines traditional policing methods with modern technology to ensure a safe and enjoyable summer for all Belarusians.
