
Major Drug Bust in Belarus: One Kilogram of Mephedrone Seized, Suspect Faces 15 Years
A significant drug bust in the Dokshitsky district of Vitebsk Oblast has led to the arrest of a 30-year-old local man. Authorities from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) announced the seizure of approximately one kilogram of mephedrone, a potent psychoactive substance. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, allegedly operated an online drug trafficking network. "The individual was apprehended with the assistance of the OMON rapid response unit," stated an MVD spokesperson. The suspect is now facing charges that could result in a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
