Shein's Surprise Price Hikes: Are Online Shoppers Being Tricked?
Shein's Hidden Surcharges: Online Shopping Prices Rise After Adding to Cart Online shoppers in Israel are facing unexpected price increases on the popular Shein platform. N12 News has uncovered instances where the price of items increases significantly after being added to the online shopping cart. This practice, which can inflate the final cost by more than 10 shekels, has raised concerns among consumers. "It's frustrating," says one shopper, "you think you've found a bargain, only to find the price is much higher at checkout." The N12 investigation revealed two specific examples of this price discrepancy. A denim jacket initially listed at 81.18 shekels jumped to 92.80 shekels after being added to the cart. Similarly, a knit two-piece set saw a similar price increase. Shein has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding these findings. This situation underscores the importance of carefully checking prices before finalizing online purchases, particularly on platforms known for their low-cost offerings. Consumer vigilance is key to avoiding unexpected costs and ensuring fair pricing.
