Minsk Shawarma Gets a Stand-Up Review: 7.5/10
Minsk Shawarma Review: A Stand-Up Comedian's Take on Gurmanika A popular Belarusian food blogger and stand-up comedian, A. Muradov, recently reviewed a shawarma from Gurmanika, a fast-food outlet near Minsk's Uruchye metro station. The review, captured in a short video, offers a detailed account of his experience. Muradov purchased a classic shawarma for 10 rubles (approximately $4 USD). The shawarma weighed 488g. He noted that the preparation time was slightly longer than 15 minutes, possibly due to the order being for takeout. "The lavash was easy to bite into," Muradov commented in the video. He described the filling as containing chicken, cabbage, tomato, and a light, slightly sweet and sour sauce with subtle garlic notes. While he praised the overall taste and the generous amount of tomato, he noted that the meat appeared to be pre-cooked and not grilled on a skewer, as is traditional. Muradov gave the shawarma a 7.5 out of 10 rating, highlighting the positive aspects of the lavash and sauce but pointing out the less traditional preparation of the meat. His video also included a promotional announcement for his upcoming stand-up comedy show in Minsk on June 7th, adding a unique personal touch to the food review.
