Belarus Prepares for Major Arms Exhibition and Military Drills
Minsk to Host Major Arms Exhibition and Military Exercises Minsk, Belarus – Belarus is preparing to host two significant events in 2025: the 12th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery (MIEX) and the Zapad 2025 military exercises. The MILEX exhibition, running from May 21-24, will showcase the latest weaponry and military technology from Belarus, Russia, and other CSTO member states. This exhibition underscores the close military and technological cooperation between Belarus and Russia. The Zapad 2025 exercises, scheduled for September, will involve a substantial number of troops—13,000—and are seen as a key step in preparing the armed forces for modern challenges. "These exercises will be a crucial stage in preparing our armed forces for contemporary threats," stated Margarita Kachanovich, a Belarusian commentator. The combined events highlight Belarus's and Russia's commitment to regional security and their ongoing military collaboration.
