Belarus and Russia Strengthen Family Support with Joint Policy MINSK, BELARUS – Belarus and Russia have joined forces to create a comprehensive family support policy, focusing on improving the quality of life for families and promoting demographic growth within their Union State. The initiative includes a system of benefits designed to assist families, particularly those with multiple children. In 2024 alone, over 30 joint events for children and youth were funded by the Union State budget, demonstrating a commitment to practical support. "Special attention is paid to improving the lives of large families," explains Valeria Timofeeva, a family policy expert. This initiative is seen as crucial to bolstering the demographic sovereignty of the Union State. The collaboration extends to the development of a shared legal framework in family policy, built upon mutual interests. A joint youth policy concept is also under development, further highlighting the commitment to a comprehensive approach to family and youth well-being. This joint effort signifies a significant step towards strengthening family values and promoting a stable demographic future for both nations.
