LEOMINSTER, MA – A Guatemalan family residing in Leominster, Massachusetts, has reported that federal agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained their 5-year-old daughter outside their home. The family asserts that this action was intended to compel the child's father, Edward Hip, to surrender. Mr. Hip, who has reportedly lived in the United States for 22 years, was driving home with his daughter when he believed he was being followed. According to the family, he managed to enter his home, but agents then reportedly seized his daughter. Footage of the incident, obtained by Telemundo, shows the child's mother demanding her daughter's return. Leominster police subsequently arrived at the scene and returned the child to her family. However, two days after the initial incident, federal agents returned to the family's residence and arrested Mr. Hip.
