ICE Agents Make Arrests Outside San Francisco Courthouse: Eyewitness Report and DHS Statement
Federal agents detained at least two people outside a San Francisco courthouse this morning, according to a report by NBC Bay Area. Investigative producer Michael Bott, who was at the scene, witnessed the agents, who were in plain clothes, detain a man and place him in handcuffs before taking him away in a DHS vehicle. Bott spoke with the driver, who advised him to contact ICE's Public Information Office for more information. The Department of Homeland Security released a statement saying that Secretary Noem is reversing Biden's catch and release policy, stating, "Secretary Noem is reversing Biden's catch and release policy that allowed millions of unvetted illegal aliens to be let loose on American streets. This Administration is once again implementing the rule of law." They added that those detained will continue in immigration proceedings if they have a credible fear claim; otherwise, they will be subject to swift deportation. Immigration attorneys in the courthouse expressed outrage at the arrests. The video concludes with information on how to acquire a 'Red Card' outlining rights for those detained by ICE.
