Daycare Death in Dublin: Investigation Underway, Parents Demand Answers
A toddler's death at a Dublin daycare has sparked a state investigation. The incident, which occurred last month at Building Kidz Toddler/Preschool, has left parents questioning the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. While Dublin Police Services have concluded their investigation, deeming the death non-criminal, the California Department of Social Services (DSS) continues its own inquiry. One parent, Nik Hillahoti, expressed his concern, stating, "We still don't know what happened, what caused it, was the school at fault?" DSS reports reveal five complaints against the facility since 2024, including one filed hours before the death. Two of these complaints resulted in citations, one of which was for lack of supervision after a child was injured in the playground last June. Building Kidz Corporate released a statement asserting a clear safety process and full cooperation with authorities, including providing comprehensive video footage. The case highlights the importance of rigorous oversight in childcare facilities and the lingering questions surrounding the toddler's death.
