Pompano Beach, FL—Detectives are investigating an incident at a local restaurant where a woman threatened an employee with a knife. The incident, caught on security camera footage, shows a woman exhibiting unusual behavior before the threat. "Witnesses said the woman went to a table, touched the customers' food after using the bathroom, and then wiped down the counter with a washcloth," said a spokesperson for the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO). When employees locked the front door, the woman pulled a knife from her hoodie and demanded that they open it. An employee at Snappers restaurant, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated, "It was terrifying. We just wanted to keep everyone safe." The video released by BSO shows the woman confronting the employee and placing the knife to his face before fleeing the scene. The BSO is currently reviewing the footage and seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.
