A gasoline tanker, traveling westbound, sideswiped a disabled and unoccupied Broward County Transit bus parked on the left shoulder. The impact propelled the tanker into the median where it hit a wall, igniting the tanker's contents. "We saw a big, big flame going up in the air. It was so crazy," one eyewitness recounted. The tanker driver sustained minor burns and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center. The bus driver was unharmed. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating the cause of the accident.
