Grodno Animal Shelter Expands Kennels Thanks to Community Support A small animal shelter in Grodno, Belarus, "Spasenie Mechta," is expanding its facilities thanks to community donations and the tireless work of volunteers. The shelter, known for its dedication to rescuing and caring for abandoned animals, is nearing completion of six new dog kennels. "We're almost finished with two more enclosures," says a volunteer in a recent video update, "but we're running low on funds." The video shows the modest facilities, highlighting the difficult conditions the dogs endure. Despite the challenges, the shelter is optimistic about its future. The volunteer added, "We plan to build a total of thirty kennels. This will give us much-needed space for more rescued animals." The shelter's expansion is a testament to the compassion of the community and the dedication of its volunteers. Donations can be made through ERIP. The work is ongoing, and the shelter hopes to fully complete the expansion in the coming weeks.
