Record-High Voter Turnout Marks 2025 Philippine Midterm Elections

The Philippines saw its highest ever midterm election voter turnout in 2025, with 81.65% of over 68 million registered voters casting their ballots. This is according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). COMELEC Chairperson George Garcia attributed the surge in participation to a significant increase in young voters.
