Back-to-School Bargains in Divisoria: School Supply Prices Plunge
Divisoria School Supply Prices Dip Ahead of Back-to-School Season Manila, Philippines – With back-to-school season fast approaching on June 16th, shoppers in Divisoria, Manila found a pleasant surprise: lower than expected prices on school supplies. News5 reporter Ian Suyu hit the streets on June 6th, 2025 to survey the market and found significant discounts. "Notebooks are going for ₱15-₱35, intermediate pads for ₱25-₱35, and yellow pads for ₱35," Suyu reported. Pencils ranged from ₱6-₱20, ballpens from ₱7-₱45, glue from ₱35-₱45, and crayons from ₱25-₱100, depending on the size of the set. School uniforms were also available, with polo shirts priced at ₱260-₱350 and blouses at ₱250-₱300. However, Suyu cautioned that the unexpectedly low prices might not last. "The vendors I spoke with said there's a possibility prices could increase by ₱10-₱20 in the coming days, depending on the number of shoppers as the back-to-school rush intensifies." The ongoing rain also played a factor in the current market conditions. Despite the potential price fluctuation, the initial savings offer a welcome relief for parents preparing for the new school year.
