Ghana Data Prices to Drop: Parliament Announces Significant Reductions
Ghanaian Parliament Member Sam George announced a significant reduction in data prices across major telecommunication networks in Ghana. The changes, effective July 1st, 2025, will see customers receive substantially more data for the same price. AirtelTigo, MTN, and Vodafone are among the companies implementing the price adjustments. "I am pleased to announce that my engagement with the CEOs has resulted in the following specific measures," stated Mr. George during a press conference. The 400 Ghana cedi data bundle will now offer 236 gigabytes, up from 195 gigabytes. Similarly, the 399 Ghana cedi bundle will now offer 250 gigabytes. The National Communications Authority (NCA) will oversee the implementation to ensure compliance. This initiative reflects a commitment to improving digital accessibility for Ghanaians.
