He also expressed a disinterest in microwaves, emphasizing his daily cooking habits. Furthermore, Fairford highlighted his aversion to visible drying laundry, explaining he utilizes a dedicated spare room for this purpose, even sending bedsheets out for professional laundering at a cost of approximately £12 per week. Overhead lighting was another item on his list, as he believes it negatively impacts a room's ambiance and makes people appear "less attractive," advocating for lamps instead. Lastly, he advised against having unused candles, suggesting they should be lit, even briefly, to appear "used" and contribute to the home's aesthetic.
