Edinburgh, Scotland – Lifestyle influencer Nicolas Fairford recently offered his followers an exclusive look inside his meticulously curated rented apartment in Edinburgh. The tour, prompted by popular demand following a previous video, highlighted Fairford's unique approach to interior design, blending antique finds with personal touches. Fairford, known for "making life more beautiful," showcased a living room filled with items collected over five years. Among the notable pieces were a new rug, chosen for his 14-year-old dog Sophie, antique maps depicting Edinburgh's New Town, and a pair of French armchairs acquired for a mere £80 at auction. "I painted them because they were dark wood," Fairford explained, adding that they are soon to be reupholstered. The tour continued into the dining room, featuring a full-size portrait of Fairford and his dog, a 30th birthday gift from Edinburgh artist Jonathan Freemantle. "People will think I'm very vain, but that was a 30th birthday present," he quipped. The kitchen, being a rental, presented its own challenges. Fairford revealed a clever solution: "These tiles were actually red before, so I bought stick-on tiles... it's a cheap way to make it look a bit more elegant and neutral." The bedroom, adorned with a painting of an Italian prince by Freemantle and pictures from Italy, completed the tour, offering a glimpse into Fairford's personal sanctuary. The video provides a testament to thoughtful interior design, even within the constraints of a rented property, and has resonated with his audience, garnering significant engagement.
