Almaty, Kazakhstan - A local resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has publicly shared her distressing experience with the construction company Qazaq Stroy, claiming her newly purchased apartment has suffered severe flooding twice due to alleged construction defects. The apartment, acquired through a mortgage and recently renovated at a cost of 13-14 million KZT, has reportedly sustained significant water damage, including mold growth on walls. The homeowner stated that the first flood was mitigated with the help of a neighbor, but a second incident occurred when an unoccupied apartment above hers, still owned by the developer, flooded. "They simply installed plastic plugs and sold the apartment with mold to other people," she claimed, referring to the builder's alleged actions regarding the faulty pipes. She further detailed that the construction company has been unresponsive to their complaints and legal attempts to seek compensation for two months, owing them an estimated 400,000 KZT. Visibly emotional, the resident expressed her profound frustration, stating she has exhausted her patience and nerves. She urged the public to share her video to warn others about Qazaq Stroy, accusing the company of inhumane treatment towards its customers and substandard construction practices. The incident raises concerns about housing quality and consumer protection within the local real estate market.
