A Chilean journalist living in Spain, known as nomad.fran, recently shared her top five reasons for loving life in the European country. In a video that has garnered significant attention, she highlighted key cultural and social differences that make Spain a desirable place to live. One of the primary aspects she appreciates is the perceived lack of classism compared to Chile. "In Spain, people are not treated differently based on their job or profession," she stated, emphasizing a more egalitarian social approach. She also praised the active lifestyle of the elderly. "It's so beautiful to go out and see grandparents sharing, sunbathing, at the bar," she noted, contrasting it with what she perceives as a less vibrant experience for seniors in Chile. Gastronomy was another highlight, with special mention of Catalonia and the Basque Country. "The food here is spectacular, truly incredible," she enthused, showcasing dishes like paella and various tapas. Furthermore, the journalist commended the general kindness and service-oriented nature of the Spanish people. She described interactions as polite and efficient, striking a balance between friendliness and professionalism. Finally, she celebrated Spain's rich tradition of festivals and celebrations. "There's always a reason to celebrate, a ton of traditions," she explained, noting how these events bring together people of all ages, from children to grandparents, in a "fantastic" display of community spirit.
