High-Security Transfer of Notorious Colombian Criminal Sparks Violent Response
Alias Pipe Tuluá, a notorious Colombian criminal, was recently transferred from La Picota prison in Bogotá under heavy guard. The move, according to authorities, was a preventative measure against an alleged escape plan and in response to an international arrest warrant issued by the United States. The transfer sparked immediate violent reactions from members of Tuluá's gang, La Inmaculada, in Tulua, Valle del Cauca, where vehicles were set ablaze. "Pipe Tuluá has been requested for extradition by the United States for two specific crimes: narco-trafficking and conspiracy to commit a crime," stated General Carlos Fernando Triana, Director General of the National Police. INPEC Director Daniel Fernando Gutiérrez Rojas added, "Yesterday there was fear and uncertainty because that criminal or that criminal structure known as Magos Inmaculada released a pamphlet declaring all INPEC guards military targets." The incident highlights the ongoing challenges in combating organized crime and ensuring prison security in Colombia. The swift action taken by authorities underscores their determination to prevent further violence and bring those responsible to justice.
