Serbian App Kumadio: Interactive Audiobooks for Focused Learning
Serbian Startup Kumadio: Interactive Audiobooks Boost Children's Engagement Belgrade, Serbia – Two young entrepreneurs, Vojislav Kujundžić and Mihailo Marčetić, have developed Kumadio, an innovative interactive audiobook app designed to captivate children and enhance their learning experience. The app, which incorporates voice recognition and on-screen interaction, allows children to actively participate in the story, choosing different paths and engaging with the content in a dynamic way. This interactive approach addresses a growing concern regarding children's decreasing attention spans in the digital age. "Kumadio is a unique application for interactive audio books for children, which transforms passive listening into active interaction with the book using voice-recognition technology or by clicking on the screen," explained Marčetić in a recent interview. The app's creators also highlighted the inclusion of educational content, including a focus on financial literacy. "Children today have a big problem with focus," noted Kujundžić, "and this interaction with the book helps them maintain focus and makes listening to the book more interesting." Kumadio's success has already been recognized, as the app recently won the Generator EDU OTP bank competition in Serbia. This win validates their innovative approach and highlights the potential of Kumadio to revolutionize children's learning. The creators plan to expand the app to include content for older audiences in the future.
