Kharkiv University Lecturer Arrested for Alleged Collaboration with Occupants A former university lecturer from the Kharkiv region of Ukraine has been arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Russian occupying forces. The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest, stating that the individual is accused of providing information about the locations of Ukrainian troops to the enemy. According to the prosecutor's office, the lecturer, whose identity has not yet been publicly released, was observed traveling around villages near Kharkiv. He allegedly photographed Ukrainian military fortifications and command posts, subsequently sending the images to a Russian handler. The images were reportedly screenshots from Google Maps. The suspect is currently being held in pretrial detention. "The actions of the suspect pose a serious threat to national security," stated a spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
