Facteur Dix Unveils LINE: The Electric Car That Consumes Less Than a Scooter
Paris, France – On Thursday, July 3rd, French startup Facteur Dix officially unveiled the prototype of its revolutionary electric concept car, the LINE. The vehicle promises unprecedented energy efficiency, boasting a consumption rate of just 4 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers, an equivalent to less than half a liter of gasoline for a conventional car.The LINE distinguishes itself with a unique teardrop-shaped design, featuring two closely set rear wheels, drawing inspiration from the ultra-aerodynamic race cars of the 1960s Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. This design philosophy prioritizes efficiency over raw power, allowing the 70-horsepower, 500-kilogram car to achieve an impressive range of 500 kilometers on a single charge.Facteur Dix aims to combine this efficiency with the practicalities of a standard car, including space for a passenger and two cabin bags. While the initial models are slated for small-scale production starting in 2027, the company anticipates a larger series production by 2030, with a projected price point of around 30,000 euros. The unveiling marks a significant step towards more sustainable and efficient personal transportation.
