    Experts Weigh In: The Daily Impact of Fish Consumption on Health A recent video by nutritionist Jonathan Ramírez has sparked discussion regarding the daily consumption of fish, outlining both its significant health benefits and potential risks. According to Ramírez, incorporating fish into one's daily diet can be "an incredibly healthy habit," particularly due to its rich content of omega-3 fatty acids. These essential nutrients are credited with improving heart health by reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, daily fish intake is strongly associated with brain protection. Ramírez states that "consuming it frequently is linked to a lower risk of cognitive decline, better memory, and concentration." The high-quality protein found in fish is also highlighted as crucial for maintaining muscle mass, repairing tissues, and promoting satiety. However, the nutritionist issues a critical warning regarding certain types of fish. "Some fish can contain heavy metals like mercury, especially larger ones," he explains, specifically naming tuna, shark, and swordfish. He advises that consuming these particular species daily without variety "could be counterproductive." For a safer daily intake, Ramírez recommends opting for fish with low mercury content, such as salmon, sardines, tilapia, or trout, and pairing them with vegetables and whole grains for a balanced meal.
