Gaza Food Aid Distribution Turns Deadly: At Least 27 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Shooting
At least 27 Palestinians were killed Tuesday morning near a food distribution site in Rafah, Gaza, after Israeli soldiers opened fire. This is the second deadly incident in three days at the same location. Kamel Aga, a witness, recounted, "We were out bringing bread and we were at a 1.5-kilometer distance from the Israeli military. We were surprised to be shot at by drones, helicopters, tanks and boats." Medhat Abu Eid, another witness, stated, "On the way, at 3:30, there was shooting, and I ducked and I don't know how the bullet hit my head." The Israeli military said they fired at people who had strayed from the designated route. A displaced Palestinian woman, Rasha al-Nahal, tearfully described the scene, expressing the pain and humiliation of witnessing such violence while trying to obtain aid. The video underscores the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and the escalating tensions in the region. The international community is urged to address the crisis and ensure the safety of civilians.
