NDC's 2024 Election Strategy: Chairman Nketia Stresses Youth Power and Strategic Leadership
ACCRA – Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has outlined the party's strategic approach for the upcoming 2024 general elections, emphasizing the pivotal role of youth mobilization and effective leadership. Speaking in a recent radio interview, Chairman Nketia stressed that the NDC's success hinges on a unified front and the strategic placement of competent individuals within the party structure. “We must be united and undertake every task with precision,” Nketia stated, highlighting the necessity of identifying the right people for the right jobs and ensuring they are given proper assignments and monitored effectively. He underscored that the success of any system is not solely dependent on individual specialized knowledge but on the collective ability to lead and deliver. Chairman Nketia particularly focused on the youth wing, describing them as "the most powerful organ in any political party." He urged the party to actively engage with the youth, understand their needs and demands, and empower them to attract other young people into the party's fold. "We will win this election," he asserted, emphasizing that national campaign mentions are secondary to effective grassroots mobilization and youth engagement. He concluded with a proverb, stating, "It is better to be the head of a dog than to be the tail of a lion," implying the importance of leading in one's own sphere of influence rather than being a subordinate in a larger, less impactful role.
