McKinney, Texas – Osuma Suya, a popular Nigerian food establishment, is sharing the inspiring journey behind its authentic suya. The owner revealed that the business’s name is a tribute to his great-great-grandfather, Osuma, who passed down the tradition of making exquisite suya. Established in Miami in 2008, Osuma Suya initially operated by catering to clubs, weddings, and various events. “Back then, we used to appear at clubs, weddings, we hosted a few events, and the name took off from there,” the owner stated. This grassroots approach helped build their reputation and customer base. Today, Osuma Suya has expanded its presence, with locations in McKinney and Houston, Texas. The owner expressed ambitious plans for the future, aiming to see Osuma Suya in "every major city" and potentially even in Nigeria. “We’re coming,” he affirmed, signaling a strong commitment to widespread growth. The business continues to serve authentic Nigerian dishes, upholding a legacy of culinary excellence.
