Hair Accessory Hazard: Woman's Claw Clip Lodged in Head After Vehicle Rollover

A young woman, Paisley Nicole, recently shared her harrowing experience after a seemingly innocuous hair accessory turned into a serious injury during a vehicle accident. Nicole recounted that while riding in a side-by-side vehicle with a friend, the vehicle rolled over at a speed of less than 20 mph. During the incident, her head struck a metal bar, causing a claw clip she was wearing to become deeply embedded in the back of her skull. Following the accident, Nicole was immediately transported to the emergency room. Medical staff performed CT scans and X-rays to assess for potential brain damage, which, fortunately, was not present. She received five staples to close the wound, noting that her hair was stapled along with the skin. Nicole stated that she has no memory of the accident itself, relying on accounts from others. She decided to share her story to alert other individuals, particularly girls, about the potential dangers of wearing hair clips or similar accessories in the back of their heads while operating or riding in vehicles, emphasizing that her outcome could have been far more severe.
