Giant ORLEN Tanks Arrive in Płock After 400km River Journey for New Chemical Plant
PŁOCK, Poland – Two colossal industrial tanks, integral to PKN ORLEN's ambitious "Nowa Chemia" project, have successfully completed a 400-kilometer journey by water, arriving at the ORLEN Production Plant in Płock. Originating from the port of Gdynia, the massive components were transported on a specialized barge, navigated by tugboats along the river. This intricate logistical operation marks a significant milestone for the "Nowa Chemia" initiative, which aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility for monomer production. Upon arrival in Płock, a large crane was prepared to facilitate the careful offloading of the tanks, signaling the next phase in the development of this modern industrial installation. The successful delivery underscores the complex planning and execution required for major infrastructure projects within the region.
