"I would never let my kid go into the business," Muniz stated unequivocally. He clarified that his apprehension does not stem from a personal negative experience, emphasizing, "not that I had a negative experience because to be honest my experience was 100% positive." However, he quickly contrasted his fortune with the struggles of others, noting, "but I know so many people, friends that were close to me, that had such insanely negative experiences. And I just think it's an ugly world in general." Muniz elaborated further on the formidable challenges inherent in the acting profession, particularly for young individuals. He characterized the journey to becoming a successful actor as being "like winning the lottery," underscoring the pervasive nature of rejection within the industry. "Because in the beginning, that's all it is," he explained, referring to the lottery-like odds. He pointed out that many talented individuals never even get a chance. "There's a million people in Hollywood who try who won't even – maybe they're amazing actors, they could be the best actors on the planet, but they don't even get the opportunity." Muniz concluded by highlighting that unlike other career paths where sustained effort can lead to advancement, success in acting is often less about hard work and more about unpredictable luck and fortunate circumstances.
