
Minsk Couple Arrested in Major Drug Bust
Minsk Police Arrest Couple in Drug Trafficking Case Minsk, Belarus – In a recent operation, officers from the drug control unit of the Moscow ROVD in Minsk apprehended a couple, a 27-year-old foreigner and a Minsk resident, for drug trafficking. The pair, married for six months, were found to have been working as couriers for only three weeks, packaging and distributing narcotics. According to Senior Operative Officer Kirill Karpitskiy of the Moscow ROVD's Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department, "The husband found a criminal job online and involved his wife." The couple was caught with approximately 6 grams of alpha-PVP and over 100 grams of the highly dangerous psychotropic substance 4-CMC hidden in various locations. Neither had a prior criminal record and they claimed they did not use the drugs themselves. A criminal investigation has been launched into their activities. The case highlights the increasing use of online platforms for criminal activities and the collaborative nature of some drug operations. The swift action of the Minsk police underscores their commitment to combating drug trafficking in the city.
