Mexican Security Forces Deal Major Blows to Organized Crime Mexico City – In a coordinated effort, Mexico's Security Cabinet, headed by Secretary Omar Garcia Harfuch, has launched a series of successful operations against organized crime. These operations have resulted in significant arrests and seizures across multiple states. In Tabasco, twelve individuals were apprehended in three separate operations in Jalpa de Méndez, Cunduacán, and Paraíso. Among those arrested were five Guatemalan citizens and a known criminal leader, Roberto ‘N’, also known as ‘El Pitufo.’ Authorities seized drugs and weapons. Simultaneously, four search warrants were executed in Guanajuato, leading to the arrest of nine individuals involved in organized crime. Authorities also seized weapons and vehicles. Further west, in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Jorge Alberto ‘N’, a suspected member of the Cartel del Pacífico, was apprehended while transporting over 700 kilograms of cocaine concealed in coffee packages. The successful operations highlight the ongoing commitment to combating organized crime in Mexico. "These operations demonstrate our unwavering commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of our citizens," stated Secretary Harfuch in a recent press conference. The ongoing efforts are a testament to the collaboration between various security agencies, including the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the National Guard.
