Satu Mare, Romania – A family from Satu Mare is facing a desperate race against time as the husband battles a rare genetic disorder, Marfan Syndrome. Doctors have reportedly given him only three months to live, necessitating an urgent and costly operation abroad. Adriana Gomboș, the wife, shared her family's struggle, revealing that their six-year-old daughter has also inherited the same condition. "My husband suffers from Marfan Syndrome, a very rare disease, affecting one in five thousand people. Unfortunately, my daughter also inherited this cruel disease," she stated, visibly emotional. After a consultation in Târgu Mureș, Romanian doctors advised the family that there are no treatment options available in Romania. They were directed to Vienna, where a life-saving operation is estimated to cost 20,000 Euros. "We are currently waiting to see what the doctors there can do for my husband's case, because the operation is very, very risky," Adriana explained. The family has already received significant support, with Dani Ciocan securing 10,000 Euros towards the operation. The Betel Association from Negrești Oaș has also provided assistance. "I want my husband to be by my side and by my daughter's side, for him to be well," Adriana pleaded, extending her gratitude to those who have helped. She urged the public to continue supporting them, emphasizing that "any amount is welcome." The family hopes that with collective help, they can secure the necessary funds to save the husband's life.
