Legendary Composer's Norteño Debut: El Plan's Unique Collaboration
Mexican Norteño Band El Plan Releases Album Produced by Legendary Spanish Composer Manuel Alejandro Mexico City – In a surprising collaboration that bridges musical cultures, the rising Mexican Norteño group El Plan has released a new album produced by the legendary Spanish composer Manuel Alejandro. At 93 years of age, Alejandro, known for his work with iconic artists like Luis Miguel and José José, has ventured into the Norteño genre for the first time, lending his expertise to El Plan's latest project. "It's something very special," says Jair Alcalá, a member of El Plan, in an exclusive interview. "Working with someone who has produced for Luis Miguel, José José, and Raphael is an incredible honor." The album, titled 'El Plan y Manuel Alejandro,' features songs composed by Alejandro and interpreted by the Mexican band. The idea for the collaboration, Alcalá explains, came about during a post-concert conversation. "We were talking about releasing two albums simultaneously, and the idea of doing one with a different concept, songs from other eras and composers, emerged." Alejandro's involvement extends beyond simple production; he personally chose the repertoire for the album. Alcalá shared that Alejandro expressed his contentment with the final product, sending a message saying he was "very happy" with the results. 'El Plan y Manuel Alejandro' is currently available on all major digital music platforms. This unexpected fusion of Spanish and Mexican musical styles is a testament to the enduring power of music to transcend borders and generations.
