

Monterrey Metro Station Gets a $Multi-Million Makeover
Monterrey Metro's Exposición Station Undergoes Major Modernization Work has begun on a significant upgrade to the Exposición station on Line 1 of the Monterrey Metro. The project, launched on May 27, 2025, includes the demolition of an existing building to make way for a new transportation center. The new center will feature a dedicated bus yard and public parking, aiming to improve connectivity and service for commuters. Governor Samuel García of Nuevo León attended the groundbreaking ceremony, emphasizing the project's importance in strengthening the connection between Guadalupe and the greater metropolitan area. "We are working to enhance the connection of Guadalupe with the metropolitan area from this station," García stated. Abraham Vargas Molina, director of Metrorrey, added that the project's main objective is to provide better service to users of the transport system. "We're doing this to expand our capacity for transfers and transfers," Vargas explained, noting that the construction would be contained and wouldn't disrupt traffic. The modernization is scheduled for completion by 2026, in preparation for the upcoming World Cup. This upgrade promises a more efficient and convenient transportation experience for residents of the area.
