Nuevo Leon's Event Tourism Booms, Anticipating 16.66% Growth in 2025 Nuevo Leon, Mexico, is experiencing a surge in event tourism, with the state government projecting a remarkable 16.66% increase in revenue for 2025. This translates to an anticipated economic impact of 3,500 million pesos. The positive trajectory is largely attributed to the collaborative efforts of the state government and the Office of Conventions and Visitors (OCV). "In 2024, we saw an increase of 7.14%, reaching 3,000 million pesos," stated David Manllo Valdes, Director of the Fideicomiso Turismo Nuevo Leon. "We expect to reach almost 3,500 million pesos this year." The OCV has played a pivotal role, organizing over 250 events annually, with sports and medical events generating the most substantial economic contributions. The state's attractive infrastructure, including over 130 hotels with 17,500 rooms, further enhances its appeal as a prime event destination. With the FIFA World Cup 2026 on the horizon, Nuevo Leon anticipates a significant boost in tourism and economic activity.
