Guadalupe's "Lupita" tackles Potholes with Tech and Three New Vehicles
Guadalupe Launches "Lupita" Platform to Tackle Potholes and Improve Street Conditions Guadalupe, Mexico – In a move to address persistent infrastructure challenges, Mayor Héctor García recently unveiled "Lupita," a citizen reporting platform designed to improve street conditions. The innovative system, launched on June 4, 2025, combines a user-friendly chatbot with on-the-ground assessments by three municipal vehicles. "Lupita" allows residents to easily report issues such as potholes, damaged sidewalks, and other street problems via a dedicated phone number (81 8030 6000) or WhatsApp. These reports are then routed to the appropriate municipal department for swift action. The system is also supported by three vehicles that will actively patrol the city, identifying and documenting problems directly. "With over 50,000 potholes and growing, we need to innovate," explained Mayor García during the launch event. "Lupita will be a highly effective communication channel, not only for receiving reports but also for providing updates on our progress." The initiative aims to create a more responsive and efficient system for addressing citizen concerns and improving the overall quality of life in Guadalupe. The launch of "Lupita" marks a significant step towards enhancing Guadalupe's infrastructure and demonstrates a commitment to citizen engagement and proactive problem-solving.
