Beauty Expert Shares Top Concealer Hacks for Mature Skin In a recent viral video, beauty expert Carina, known as @primalwoman_ on social media, unveiled two ingenious concealer hacks designed specifically for mature skin. Addressing common frustrations such as concealer settling into fine lines and accentuating under-eye dips, Carina's tutorial offers practical solutions for a smoother, more radiant appearance. Carina highlighted that the eye area, being 40% thinner than the rest of the face, is often the first to show signs of aging, including wrinkles and noticeable dips. She emphasized that using the wrong product or color can inadvertently worsen these concerns by drawing unwanted attention. For camouflaging under-eye dips, Carina recommends using a matte concealer that perfectly matches your skin tone. She demonstrated mixing a small amount of NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer with a hydrating eye cream, creating a light paste. This mixture is then precisely dabbed into the dip, using a pressing and rolling motion to seamlessly blend it without highlighting the area. To brighten and lift the eye, Carina suggests a different approach. She advises mixing a slightly lighter, radiant creamy concealer, such as NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, with a serum or eye cream to enhance its emollient properties. This lighter mixture is then applied to the highest points of the eye, like the brow bone and outer corner, to draw attention upwards and create a lifted effect. Carina noted that while fingers can be used, a small pony-tail brush (like NARS #10) can offer more precise application, especially for those with chubbier fingers. Carina stressed that these techniques are about 'tricks and placement, playing with light and dark' to achieve desired results, rather than covering the entire face. Her advice aims to empower individuals to look their best at any age with minimal product and effort.
