
Texas Teen Killed Days Before Quinceañera in Hit-and-Run; Driver Arrested
A tragic accident claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl, Daisy, just days before her 15th birthday. The incident occurred in Garland, Texas, when a speeding vehicle driven by Stetson Barbo, 30, ran a red light and struck Daisy and her 16-year-old brother. Daisy died at the scene, while her brother sustained severe injuries and underwent multiple surgeries. The distraught mother, Tomasa Paredes, described the horrific scene, saying, "I don't know what happened. I only heard tires screeching, and then I saw a truck turn around and come towards us." Police confirmed that Barbo was driving at excessive speed and left the scene of the accident. He has been charged with two counts of accident involving injury/death, and two counts of manslaughter.
