Starting July 17th, 2024, citizens will have the option of receiving summonses via postal service in addition to the existing electronic method. This change aims to ensure that all citizens are notified of legal proceedings efficiently. "Electronic summons are considered served automatically," explained one of the speakers in a recent webinar discussing the update. "Even if you don't know about it, it's still considered served." This clarification addresses concerns about the effectiveness of electronic delivery. The addition of a postal option offers an alternative for those who may not have consistent access to electronic communication. The updated system simplifies the legal process, ensuring timely notification of legal proceedings for all Ukrainian citizens, regardless of their technological access.
