Bobruisk Bridge Closure: Major Reconstruction Underway
Bobruisk's Fandokovsky Bridge to Undergo Reconstruction Bobruisk, Belarus – Starting May 21, 2025, the Fandokovsky bridge in Bobruisk will be closed for a much-needed reconstruction. The bridge, a vital link connecting two parts of the city, has fallen into disrepair. "The bridge was partially deemed аварийным (hazardous) back in 2017," says local resident and videographer ProBobruisk. The video shows significant rust and deterioration along the bridge's railings and roadway. The reconstruction plans include replacing the existing concrete structures with new steel ones, similar to those on the Titovsky bridge. The pillars will remain, but will be reinforced. All lighting, railings, and the roadway itself will be replaced. While the closure will cause temporary inconveniences for drivers, the upgrade promises a safer and more aesthetically pleasing bridge for years to come, improving the connection between Bobruisk and the regional center.
