Romania Launches "BRAVO" Campaign for Positive Youth Football
Romania Launches "BRAVO" Campaign to Promote Positive Youth Football Bucharest, Romania – June 1, 2025 – Răzvan Burleanu, president of the Romanian Football Federation (FRF), today announced the launch of the "BRAVO" campaign, a comprehensive initiative designed to improve the experience of children involved in football. The campaign, which will utilize TV and radio spots as well as social media, aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for young players. "The BRAVO campaign is the most important awareness campaign ever created in Romania for children's football," Burleanu stated in an interview. "We want to combat the excessive pressure often placed on young athletes by coaches and parents, and foster an environment of joy, respect, and optimism." The "BRAVO" acronym stands for Bucurie (Joy), Respect, Afecțiune (Affection), Voință (Will), and Optimism, reflecting the campaign's core values. The FRF plans a major recruitment drive targeting parents, emphasizing the importance of viewing youth football as a learning experience rather than solely a path to professional success. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring the well-being and enjoyment of young footballers in Romania.
