Australian Haircare Brand Bouf Sells 20,000 Units in Under 3 Weeks, Ramps Up Production
Melbourne, Australia – Rachael Wilde, co-founder of the haircare brand Bouf, has announced an unprecedented sales achievement, with 20,000 units of their hair growth tonic selling out in under three weeks. This rapid success has prompted the company to significantly increase its production capacity. Wilde clarified that the sell-out was not a result of intentional understocking, a common marketing tactic. Instead, she detailed Bouf's proactive approach to managing demand. "We produced 20,000 units of our growth tonic ready for launch," Wilde stated in a recent video, explaining that they also manufactured and held an additional 20,000 units worth of packaging in their warehouse. This strategy was implemented to ensure quick turnaround times, as packaging often has the longest lead time in production. Furthermore, Bouf prepaid for ingredients with long lead times, storing them at their Australian manufacturing facility. Despite these preparations, the demand exceeded all expectations. "We didn't expect to sell out of 20,000 units in under three weeks," Wilde remarked. In response to the overwhelming consumer interest, the company has swiftly moved to put another 20,000 units into production for refilling stock and has increased its next round of packaging production to 60,000 units to meet ongoing demand. This transparent approach highlights the genuine market response to Bouf's products.
